A little about this salty old photographer that likes to create

Hey there -- I'm Jeff Fitzmorris.

I'm the guy who spent 23+ years crafting stories, capturing moments, and dodging mortars in combat zones just to get the shot. I'm a retired Air Force photojournalist, a multimedia Jedi, a lover of cast iron and smokers, a camera nerd, and the creative mind behind way too many half-finished brilliant ideas. (Don't worry -- I finish the good ones.)

These days, I work at the Atlanta VA Health Care System as a Medical Photographer, Audio-Visual Specialist and Public Affairs Specialist. Translation?
I tell veteran stories that matter -- with cameras, words, and a serious dedication to AP Style and clean audio. When I'm not documenting VA events or helping the public affairs team look good, I'm chasing light, building brands, and making magic out of pixels.

But let's rewind.

Back in 2002, I raised my right hand and swore in to the United States Air Force. That one decision led me around the world -- from dusty flight lines in Afghanistan and Iraq to briefing generals and mentoring young Airmen as the Superintendent of the 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office. I did everything from leading combat camera teams to publishing base newspapers and launching multimedia campaigns. (Ask me about that time I convinced a four-star to greenlight a drone shoot.)

I hold multiple degrees in design, communications, entrepreneurship, and business management --because apparently one wasn't enough. I've been creating media professionally for almost 30 years, long before "content creator" was even a thing. Whether it's photography, video, design, voice-over,or web strategy -- if it tells a story and looks good doing it, I'm probably into it. I'm also a working artist at heart. Drawing, sketching, and painting have always been a part of my world -- whether I'm scribbling in a sketchbook or letting loose with a canvas and some bold strokes. Add in a good cigar and a glass of whiskey, and that's my kind of weekend reset. Wish I could find time to do it more!

I've teamed up with my buddy Vinny Himes over at ReviewDiesel.com to bring some horsepower to the web. I handle the multimedia side -- video shoots, graphic design, branding, all that good stuff -- helping turn diesel performance reviews into something worth watching and helping increase sales. It's the perfect blend of creativity, grit, and gear oil. You won’t find better parts anywhere!

My wife Laura, is the reason we ended up in Georgia, and

I'd follow her anywhere. She's smarter, stronger, and better looking than me, which is honestly unfair.
